Best Buy Offers Exclusive `Sweet Tracks' Holiday CD; Coldplay, Seal, Jewel, Chris Botti, and Sting Record Songs for Unique Holiday Music Experience

Best Buy Co., Inc. announced today a special holiday CD offer for loyal Best Buy consumers. "Sweet Tracks," an exclusive, five-song CD featuring five of today's top music artists, includes original recordings from Coldplay, Seal, Jewel, Chris Botti, and Sting. The free, one-day offer will be available Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in Best Buy stores nationwide.
"Sweet Tracks," Best Buy's first annual holiday CD, initially will be available only to Best Buy Reward Zone members at all store locations while supplies last. There is no purchase necessary to obtain "Sweet Tracks" but supplies are limited and rain checks will not be issued.
Customers also can get the CD by becoming Reward Zone members on the day of the promotion ($9.99 for a one-year membership). Best Buy's Reward Zone is a customer loyalty program that offers exclusive benefits to people who make purchases at Best Buy stores nationwide.
"The 'Sweet Tracks' CD is a unique way for Best Buy to give back to our loyal customers," said Gary Arnold, senior vice president of entertainment for Best Buy. The exclusive collection of original recorded songs was manufactured by Redline Entertainment, Inc., a subsidiary of Best Buy, Co., Inc. It features songs that capture the essence of the holiday season from each artist's personal point of view, including Coldplay singing "2000 Miles," Seal's version of "Make Someone Happy," Jewel's take on "Blue Christmas," Chris Botti performing "O Come All Ye Faithful" and Sting's powerful version of "Bethlehem Down."
"Sweet Tracks" is another special offer and exclusive product Best Buy will make available to customers this holiday season. There also will be a number of entertainment events at Best Buy stores as an ongoing effort to bring customers unique ways to enjoy music, movies and games.
