Eon Labs, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELAB) announced today that it received final approval for Bupropion HCl, ER 100mg tablets. Bupropion HCl, ER 100mg tablets are the generic equivalent of Wellbutrin SR(R)(a) 100mg tablets. The Company plans to begin shipping Bupropion HCl, ER 100mg tablets immediately. Eon Labs is involved in ongoing pending patent litigation with GlaxoSmithKline regarding Wellbutrin SR(R), 100mg and 150mg tablets, and a trial date has been recently set for December 9, 2003.
