First-of-Its-Kind Camera Phone Art Exhibit

Philadelphia Area Art Students to Display Digital Masterpieces on High Definition Plasma and Liquid Crystal Flat-Panel TVs
In a first-of-its-kind art exhibit, local students will be using Samsung VGA 1000 camera phones from Sprint to capture images and create artistic expressions to be displayed on cutting-edge Plasma and Liquid Crystal flat-panel TVs. Art students from Drexel University, Moore College of Art & Design, The Art Institute of Philadelphia, the Hussian School of Art and the University of the Arts will participate in the one-night-only art exhibit open to the public at the Highwire Gallery in Old City, Philadelphia on November 14th.
The event will feature multimedia art created by these up and coming artists using the latest camera wireless phone technology available, focusing on Philadelphians on their wireless phones.
Hifi House is co-sponsoring the exhibit, along with Sprint, and Philadelphia Style magazine. As a co-sponsor, Hifi House will provide exclusive high-end Plasma and Liquid Crystal flat-panel TVs for the students to display their works of art. Then the students will demonstrate their creativity by manipulating and editing images taken with camera phones into various forms of artistic expression sure to dazzle and please attendees.

The Highwire Art Gallery is located at 137 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia, and will host the free event on November 14th from 6:30-10:00 p.m. The event is open to the public and light refreshments will be available.
