Jantzen Supports 2003 MTV Video Music Awards Latin America

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 2003

Jantzen Inc. ("Jantzen"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Perry Ellis International Inc. (Nasdaq:PERY), participated in the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards Latin America by offering the show's presenters and performers a complimentary Jantzen swimsuit and cover-up of their choice as part of the esteemed gift basket.

The second annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America took place on October 23, 2003 at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami, Fla. This show, broadcast live on MTV, honored the Latin American music community and featured performances by Alejandro Sanz, Sum 41, La Ley, Iggy Pop and Natalia Lafourcade. Nominees included Cafe Tacuba, Molotov, Gustavo Cerati, Juanes and Mana.
