FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 2003
AOC has extended its award-winning line of value-priced displays for business users with the launch of the LM729, an ultra-thin 17" LCD monitor priced at $395.
The LM729 is the first monitor in a new line of flat-panel displays designed by AOC in collaboration with Lunar, an industrial design firm that recently won three BusinessWeek Industrial Design Excellence awards. In addition to the new look, the monitor features advanced adjustability functions, including 25-degree tilt, 70-degree swivel and 110mm height-adjustment. The screen can be rotated 90 degrees for portrait or landscape viewing mode, and the included Pivot Pro(R) software simplifies switching between these two modes.

The slim LM729 measures 15.1"W x 9.1"D x 15.7" - 19.9"H, depending on the height-adjustment, allowing for increased workspace. Built-in speakers and a base with a concealed storage tray help users to maximize desktop space. The LM729 can also be wall-mounted with a separate VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) compatible arm and bracket.
"Business users frequently work in cramped spaces, where desktop real-estate is rare and precious, and having a slim LCD display, in particular a display they can adjust to fit their workspace, can help ease the clutter," said Tam Chiang, AOC general manager, USA distribution division. "The ultra-thin LM729 features premium adjustability functions at an affordable price, not to mention a style that will be the envy of any office. Extra enhancements like a base that doubles as a storage tray are a welcome addition to any cluttered desk."
The LM729 is now available through authorized AOC distributors and online retailers. The estimated street price is $395. All AOC monitors are backed by a comprehensive three-year warranty, during which AOC will repair, replace or rebuild products at no charge. The LM729 also qualifies for the EASE replacement program. Through the EASE program, AOC will replace monitors at no additional charge for up to one year after purchase, should anything go wrong. AOC offers toll-free customer assistance at 888-662-9888, Web-based technical support and a 24-hour RMA (return merchandise authorization) tracking system.
