ABM Janitorial Services Awarded Contract with Houston Community College System

ABM Janitorial Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), has been awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with Houston Community College System (HCCS). The contract includes janitorial services for 40 buildings located on HCCS's six campuses that include HCC-Central, HCC-Northeast, HCC-Northwest, HCC-Southeast, HCC-Southwest and an extensive Distance Education program site.
"With our extensive expertise in education facilities, we are pleased to serve Houston Community College, the second largest accredited community college in the United States," said Mike Morris, regional vice president of ABM Janitorial Services. "While providing highly customized janitorial service and a reliable, user-friendly inspection system, our staff and management can ensure consistent, cost-effective maintenance service for HCCS's campuses," he added.
Founded in 1971, Houston Community College serves over 100,000 students each year and employs more than 2,000 faculty. Five area colleges and an extensive distance education program within the system serve the very spread-out city of Houston, Texas.
