OUTER BANKS, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 2003

ResortQuest International (NYSE:RZT), the nation's leading vacation manager and marketer of vacation condominiums, homes and villas, is up and running and taking reservations in North Carolina's Outer Banks.

Thanks to the quick work of ResortQuest staff from throughout the southeast, the company was able to accommodate more than 300 reservations this past week. Aided by 20 ResortQuest employees from Destin, Fl., Gulf Shores, Al., and St. Simons, Ga., the Outer Banks staff removed protective boarding, provided maintenance, and thoroughly cleaned the 825 homes in the first week following Hurricane Isabel.

"The coast is clear and we are taking reservations," said Tim Cafferty, General Manager of ResortQuest Outer Banks. "The Outer Banks will be celebrating the Centennial of Flight this fall, and it is truly a great time for our state.

"I can personally assure that each of our units is in the same superior shape after the storm as it was beforehand," Cafferty added. "People can book their vacations with confidence."

Hurricane Isabel showcased the power of ResortQuest's network. Before the storm hit, Florida-based ResortQuest switched its North Carolina reservations from the Outer Banks to its call center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The company also secured each of the properties ahead of Isabel to minimize damage.

After the storm, the company called each of its guests to give an update on the home and assure them on when it would be ready.

Val Costley, ResortQuest Vice President of the Eastern Region, said the teamwork and personal service around the storm won praise from guests and individual homeowners alike. ResortQuest-managed properties in the Outer Banks are all privately owned.

"We take care of each of our homes like it is our own. The speed at which our professionals in the Outer Banks got each of the homes cleaned and repaired is a true testament to the high level of service which we have been able to accomplish in the past 10 days," Costley said.
