BT, Angie Stone, Dannii Minogue and More Slated for Billboard Dance Music Summit

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 2003

The hottest names in dance and electronic music will converge in New York City for the 10th annual Billboard Dance Music Summit taking place September 22 - September 24, 2003, at the Union Square Ballroom. By day, panels featuring such revered artists as Angie Stone, D:Fuse, Lisa Shaw, Widelife and Dub Pistols will examine the critical issues facing the industry. By night, the Summit will showcase some of the world's top dance artists and club DJs at dusk-to-dawn parties. Adding to the star-studded event will be BT at the Billboard Q&A.

Panels include "All Mixed Up and Nowhere to Go: The Art of the Remix," "7 Degrees of Separation," "Hail to the Chief," "The (Internet) Revolution will Be Televised," "It's a Lifestyle, Stupid!," "Nightlife Regulated: Not Enough or More Than Enough?," "Music & Money" and "Hip, Hop, Dance." Key panelists include RCA Music Group's Hosh Gureli, Marthe Reynolds of Island Def Jam Music Group, Denise Rich of Denise Rich Songs, Peter Rauhoffer of Star 69 Records, Robbins Entertainment's Cory Robbins, Kurosh Nasseri of Nasseri Music Business Solutions and Chucky Thompson of Lifeprint Productions.

Panels will also spotlight representation from Armani Exchange, Motorola, Soho & Tribeca Grand Hotels, ASCAP, BMI, Bug Music, Global Underground, Ultra Records and Astralwerks.

Also figuring into the mix are Michael Perlmutter, the music supervisor of Showtime's hit series Queer As Folk, and Widelife, the Canadian production duo responsible for creating the theme song to the Bravo/NBC smash Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

Additionally, this year's event will feature the U.S. debut of Dannii Minogue, a special edition of off-Broadway production De La Guarda with guest DJ Barry Ashworth/Dub Pistols and the annual DJ meet-n-greet.
