Andrx and Teva Launch Generic Ortho Tri-Cyclen and Ortho Cyclen-28 Tablets

Andrx Corporation (Nasdaq:ADRX) ("Andrx") today announced that its Tri-Previfem(TM) and Previfem(TM) tablets have been launched into the marketplace by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. ("Teva"). Tri-Previfem and Previfem tablets are generic versions of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, Inc.'s oral contraceptive products, Ortho Tri-Cyclen(R) and Ortho Cyclen-28(R), respectively. As announced in December 2003, Teva has exclusive marketing rights in the U.S. and Canada to Andrx's line of generic oral contraceptive products.
