Perry Ellis International Inc. (Nasdaq:PERY) announced today that the Havanera Co.(TM) will be participating in the 15th annual Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards being held from 8-11 p.m. on April 29, 2004 at the Miami Arena and broadcast worldwide on the Telemundo network. The Havanera Co.(TM) will also have a presence in the registration area of the event at the Eden Roc Hotel on Miami Beach from April 26-28. This prestigious event allows the Havanera Co.(TM) to promote its Hispanic identity as well as its brand spokesperson, Tito Puente, Jr., and his forthcoming CD "In My Father's Shoes." The Havanera Co.(TM) will provide promotional photos and a sampler CD consisting of tracks from Tito's upcoming album in the event's gift bags. Informal modeling of the Havanera Co.(TM) spring collection will also take place during the three-day registration period.
