QlikView Suite of Business Intelligence Software Cited for Simplicity, Pricing, and Focus
QlikTech Inc., a provider of powerful and rapidly deployable business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that it has been named a "cool vendor" of BI and analytical software by Gartner Inc.
The "Cool Vendors in BI, BAM and Data Warehousing" report features vendors that are "delivering innovative products in response to the need for faster and better technology" in this software space. QlikTech's BI suite QlikView is praised for being "attractive to midmarket users who have a tactical BI need and don't have the staff, skills or budget to implement data warehouse-based or OLAP-based BI applications."
"We are very excited to see that Gartner appreciates the work we are doing," said Christer Berg, president and CEO of QlikTech Inc. "QlikTech's mission is to make the power of business intelligence, analysis and reporting available to everyone from the executive suite to the loading dock, helping people make better and faster decisions not only on a strategic but also on a tactical level. This is tremendous validation for QlikView and our vision of bringing rapidly deployable, cost effective BI to wider user groups across enterprises."
The Gartner "Cool Vendors" reports focus on companies that are producing innovative, intriguing, and impactful technology. According to the report, Gartner spoke with QlikTech users and confirmed that QlikView can be implemented within a week and that, with QlikView, "building queries and the performance of complex queries is easier and faster than implementing against a traditional data warehouse or data mart."
Their inclusion in this report adds to the list of recent QlikTech awards and achievements, including glowing reviews in magazines such as Intelligent Enterprise, InfoWorld, and eWeek. The "Cool Vendors in the BI, BAM and Data Warehousing" report is available directly from Gartner.
