E.piphany to Make E.6 CRM Software Suite Available on Linux; Solution Provides Lower Costs, Open Environment and More Choice for Enterprise CRM Customers
Business Wire, August 2, 2004
SAN MATEO, Calif. -- E.piphany, Inc. (Nasdaq:EPNY), a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions for consumer-oriented businesses, today announced that it will make the E.piphany(R) E.6(R) CRM software suite available on Linux. Delivering the E.6 CRM software suite on Linux will bring to market a cost-effective open computing environment for enterprise customers seeking a comprehensive CRM solution to optimize business processes and customer relationships. This initiative provides customers an additional platform for flexible, high-performance E.piphany CRM solutions that can be deployed in a modular fashion for maximum return on investment.
E.piphany has chosen Red Hat Enterprise Linux as its initial supported Linux platform. E.piphany has joined the Red Hat Ready partner program and will be demonstrating the E.piphany E.6 CRM software suite on Red Hat Enterprise Linux at the LinuxWorld conference in San Francisco this week, August 3-5, in booth #468.
"Enterprise software leaders like E.piphany are bringing their solutions to market on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, creating additional value and choice for the platform and increasing momentum for the open source movement," said Mike Evans, vice president of partner development, Red Hat. "E.piphany customers will benefit from the increased performance and dramatic cost savings Linux brings to their enterprise infrastructures."
With an architecture based on open standards and J2EE, E.piphany customers benefit from a commitment to open environments. This is especially important to maximize existing investments -- the J2EE architecture allows for ease of integration with existing enterprise infrastructures. The E.piphany E.6 software solution is based on an extensible J2EE infrastructure optimized for the Linux operating system as well as other industry platforms based on Unix and Microsoft Windows.
"Today's news provides additional choice and improved total cost of ownership for consumer-oriented enterprises who are investing in CRM," said Karen Richardson, CEO of E.piphany. "E.piphany recognizes the value of the open source movement and is taking action to deliver enterprise CRM solutions on Linux that will help increase profitability for our customers."
