Texas Education Agency Awards Application Management Services to Sierra Systems

AUSTIN, Texas -- Sierra Systems to provide PeopleSoft maintenance, support, and enhancements

Sierra Systems Group Inc. (TSX:SSG) announced today that it has been awarded a three year $3.3 million USD contract by the Texas Education Agency to provide comprehensive application management services to support the agency's PeopleSoft financial application.

The Texas Education Agency, a Texas state government agency, selected Sierra Systems for the ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancement of the PeopleSoft application after undergoing a rigorous and competitive evaluation and selection process. Services to be provided include production support, customer support, application maintenance, management reporting, application modifications, special requests, data changes, and performance tuning.

Responsible for processing over $15 billion annually in K-12 public education funding, the system will be transitioned to Sierra Systems by September 1, 2004.
