Forbes Corrects Erroneous Article about Lions Gate Entertainment Involvement in Theatrical Release ``The Prince and Me''

Business Wire, August 25, 2004

SANTA MONICA, Calif. & VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- On August 19, 2004, Forbes.com published an article on its website titled "So That's What Gross Means." The article was printed in the September 6th issue of Forbes Magazine. The article was incorrect in many respects, including its conclusion that Lions Gate Entertainment (NYSE:LGF)(TSX:LGF) lost money on the motion picture "The Prince and Me." Lions Gate, in fact, made a profit on the picture. The Forbes article was also incorrect in concluding that Lions Gate spent $37,000,000 on the production and marketing costs of the picture. Lions Gate did not spend $37,000,000 on the production and marketing costs of the picture. Lions Gate simply acquired the international distribution rights for approximately $9.2 million and, in fact, has made a profit on the film from its sales of the picture in the international territories. Sobini produced the picture and Paramount distributed it in the United States.

Forbes has now issued a correction to its original story. The correction may be found at www.forbes.com/business/forbes/2004/0906/046.html.> Lions Gate Entertainment is the premier independent producer and distributor of motion pictures, television programming, home entertainment, family entertainment and video-on-demand content. Its prestigious and prolific library of approximately 8,000 titles is one of the largest in the entertainment industry. The Lions Gate brand name is synonymous with original, daring, quality entertainment in markets around the globe.
