PivX Ends 'Panic Patching' And Takes Enterprise Security Market To New Level
Business Wire, August 25, 2004
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- PivX Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:PIVX), the leader in next generation host-based intrusion prevention software for the Windows enterprise security market, announces that more than 12 contracts have been signed and more than 4,000 sales leads have come in after only a week of launching its flagship product, Qwik-Fix Pro. Qwik-Fix Pro safeguards PCs and networks from falling victim to the next worm or virus before vendor security patches become available, avoiding the typical scramble to test and deploy patches.
Qwik-Fix Pro was released to the enterprise security marketplace on August 16, 2004. Among the signed contracts to date is TriStar MGA, a financial services firm that sells a leading edge Windows-based system to lending institutions. The system tracks over 800,000 leases and loans for lending institutions and AM Best 'A' Rated insurance companies worldwide.
Enterprise license agreements have also been signed with Sheppard, Mullin and Richter, Roth Capital, Orica, Columbia Forest Products, Xceedium, TriTronics, NetworkTelemetrics, Redwire Broadband, Fonem Data of Sweden and VirtuosoMedia in the Netherlands and multiple Global 500 companies including a major airline, a leading financial services firm and a worldwide shipping company.
"We knew that the market was ready for the next generation of host-based intrusion prevention solutions based on the direct feedback we received from CIOs and CSOs at leading Fortune 500 companies during our successful beta test program," said Rob Shively, Chairman and CEO at PivX. "With the rollout of Qwik-Fix Pro, we are now able to provide companies with the proactive security solutions they need to protect their networks."
"When you consider the ineffectiveness of the current reactive security solutions taken together with the 'Panic Patching Syndrome' that has gripped systems administrators who are desperately trying to protect their Windows-based systems, the market is clearly screaming for a solution like Qwik-Fix Pro," said Luis Curet, vice president of sales at PivX. "The early returns support that need, with a total of more than 4,000 sales leads in just the first week."
