Saltmine Helps Overlake Hospital Launch New Web Site; New Site Makes It Easier for Patients to Be Proactive About Wellness
Business Wire, August 3, 2004
SEATTLE & BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Overlake Hospital has dramatically redesigned their Web site, www.overlakehospital.org, to make it easier than ever for patients, physicians and users to conveniently and proactively access their health care information online. The new site features an extensive library of resources, online patient registration and prescription refills. Overlake President and CEO Ken Graham describes the site: "Our new Web site is based on meeting the needs of our customers. It serves to simplify their experience and empower them to learn more. We believe that this will be very helpful to all of our patients and their families."
The site was designed and developed by local Web firm Saltmine, who has also developed sites for Northwest Hospital, LYNX Medical Systems and RegenceRX. "Overlake knows that the consumers in this region are exceptionally Web savvy. They have high expectations for their online experience," said Saltmine CEO John Waechter. "Overlake wanted to exceed those expectations, so while we integrated new features and functionality, we also focused on making the site easy and logical to use. Using the Web shouldn't feel like brain surgery."
The Overlake Hospital Medical Center was the first hospital built on the Eastside in 1959. Today, Overlake is recognized as a regional leader in cardiac, surgical, cancer, women's health and children's services.
