Transportation Security Administration Selects B&B ARMR to Install Custom Perimeter Security System at Its Pentagon City Headquarters
Business Wire, August 3, 2004
FAIRFAX, Va. -- B&B ARMR Corporation, a subsidiary of Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (ISSI) (OTCBB:IZZI), today announced that it has completed installation of a customized perimeter security system at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) headquarters in Pentagon City, Arlington, Va. Augmenting TSA's existing concrete planter crash-barrier system, which was manufactured and installed by Advanced Concrete Solutions (ACS), B&B ARMR worked closely with ACS and TSA's general contractor and integrator, M.C. DEAN, who specifically chose B&B ARMR for this prestigious, one-of-a-kind homeland security project.
"This particular custom homeland security application was the first of its kind for B&B ARMR and it was very successful," stated Ted Wlazlowski, Chief Operating Officer of B&B ARMR. "This unique configuration of B&B ARMR crash beams created an anti-terrorist solution that not only strengthened perimeter security, but also blended aesthetically with TSA's planter barriers and building architecture, which was one of the client's requirements."
"B&B ARMR's professionalism and flexibility resulted in an outstanding finished product, which is no doubt the finest example of state-of-the-art homeland security combined with aesthetics in the D.C. area. TSA is very satisfied with the result," said John Gilmore, Project Manager, M.C. DEAN. "The on-site installation was smooth, and the swiftness with which B&B ARMR and Adaptive Concrete Solutions worked together to overcome problems was impressive."
Collaborating with ACS and M.C. DEAN, B&B ARMR completed the installation on time and met all of TSA's specifications for solution functionality and aesthetics.
"The strategic collaboration between our three respective companies synergized the design and build process, resulting in a site-specific solution which exceeded initial expectations and requirements," said James Prendergast, Adaptive Concrete Solutions Director of Business Development. "We are very pleased with the customized system itself and the dedication of our project partners and we welcome the opportunity to collaborate on similar projects in the future."
