Hibernia Adds Flexibility and Capacity to Online Banking with Latest Corillian Voyager Platform
Business Wire, August 3, 2004
NEW ORLEANS -- Hibernia (NYSE: HIB) announced today that it will upgrade its popular online banking system with the Corillian Voyager 3.1 platform from Corillian Corp. The upgrade will enable Hibernia to respond quickly to new online banking innovations as they develop and offer the best financial-services tools to customers over the Internet.
Hibernia has partnered with online banking service provider Corillian since 1998 when BankOnline@Hibernia.com was introduced. During the past five years, the company has made many enhancements and added features to ensure BankOnline@Hibernia.com is in step with the needs and preferences of customers. More than 200,000 customers actively use the service.
"We've seen tremendous growth in the popularity of our online banking services, and with this growth we recognize that our customers expect us to deliver convenient transaction services and account information in a safe, secure online environment," said Pam Hymel, manager of Hibernia's Online Business Solutions. "The decision to upgrade to the Corillian Voyager 3.1 platform will enable us to not only meet the needs of our customers today but also help us sustain our competitive edge in the rapidly changing marketplace of online banking."
Bank Online is the service that allows customers to set their own banking hours, manage their accounts from any desktop or portable computer with Internet access and pay bills without stamps or envelopes, among other features.
Hibernia's commitment to improving its online offerings was recognized earlier this year by the Customer Respect Group, an international research and consulting firm based in Bellevue, Wash., that analyzes the online customer experience of the nation's largest companies. In January, the group ranked Hibernia eighth among the nation's 76 largest financial-services companies in its independent Online Customer Respect Study.
Corillian Corp. (NASDAQ: CORI), based in Portland, Ore., is the No. 1 provider of online banking solutions to leading financial institutions. Corillian Voyager 3.1 is an industry-leading platform that allows financial institutions to deliver innovative online banking applications, including electronic bill payment and presentment, consumer banking and small-business banking.
Hibernia is on Forbes magazine's list of the world's 2,000 largest companies and Fortune magazine's list of America's top 1,000 companies according to annual revenue. Hibernia has $21.3 billion in assets and 310 locations in 34 Louisiana parishes and 34 Texas counties. Hibernia Corporation's common stock (HIB) is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
