Miller Brewing Selects Rackspace Managed Hosting to Support its Consumer-Facing Web Infrastructure

SAN ANTONIO -- World's Second Largest Brewer Leverages Rackspace Expertise to Run Multi-OS Platform for Web Presence
Rackspace Managed Hosting, the fastest-growing managed hosting provider, today announced that it has signed a hosting agreement with Miller Brewing Company. Rackspace provides the managed web hosting infrastructure, security and Fanatical Support(TM) for all of Miller Brewing's consumer-facing web sites, including domains offering consumer product information, online promotions and interactive entertainment.
Miller Brewing runs its enterprise hosting platform on both Linux and Windows to leverage the individual strengths of each operating system. The Windows servers within the company's configuration perform superior database functions, while the Linux servers are relied upon for their advanced web traffic and tracking capabilities. The separate operating systems work in tandem seamlessly to deliver on the complex needs of Miller Brewing's family of branded web sites which are essential to the company's marketing efforts.

Miller Brewing elected to migrate its web infrastructure from another service provider to Rackspace's Zero-Downtime Network to increase reliability and gain efficiencies. Rackspace also offered Miller Brewing flexible pricing on a scalable platform that will grow with their needs over time.
