Business Wire, August 31, 2004
WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- Roving Planet, the leading software-based wireless LAN (WLAN) security and management solution provider, announced today that former McKinsey and BMC executive Jeff Hawn has joined Roving Planet's Board of Directors as an independent board member. Mr. Hawn is currently an operating partner with the San Diego-based private equity arm of John Moores Investments, Inc.
Mr. Hawn brings expertise, knowledge, and business skills to Roving Planet from his tenure at BMC Software, Inc., where he led finance, operations, corporate development and M&A activities. "We are fortunate to have Jeff as an independent board member," said Greg Mesch, Roving Planet's CEO. "We see a convergence in the future of wireless LANs and network systems management, and we welcome the expertise and knowledge Mr. Hawn brings to our Board."
"Roving Planet has established a strong position in the wireless LAN markets where we are just beginning to see the commercial potential emerge. It has a strong, seasoned management team and Board that I am enthused about joining," stated Hawn.
