Quest Software Delivers Role-Based Personalized Views for PeopleSoft and Oracle E-Business Application Change Management
Business Wire, Dec 1, 2004
IRVINE, Calif. -- Stat ACM's Unique Customizable User Interface Simplifies Application Change Management Processes for IT Professionals
Quest Software Inc. (Nasdaq:QSFT), a leading provider of application, database and Windows management solutions, today announced the general availability of the latest version of its comprehensive change management solution, Stat Application Change Management (ACM), delivering customizable views for PeopleSoft Enterprise and Oracle E-Business application change management processes. Stat ACM, an application change, configuration and patch management system, now includes a unique, highly configurable Web interface that allows users to personalize their view of application change processes resulting in faster and efficient implementations of upgrades and changes.
Featuring a new customizable interface, Stat ACM is ideal for database administrators and application developers who are implementing changes and patches, as well as IT teams that are required to have a consistent change management process in place for auditing and reporting purposes due to regulatory compliance mandates. Through the new interface, users log into a personalized portal that displays user-defined query results organized into pages to suit their preferences and/or job requirements.
"Application change management automates, enforces and measures application processes, and allows organizations to support accurate accounting procedures," said Jim Duggan, vice president at Gartner Inc. "In order for organizations to maintain the viability of their critical applications and meet regulatory requirements, it is essential that they employ a reliable and repeatable change management process."
Stat ACM version 5.1 delivers new change management capabilities and process controls that provide greater visibility, accessibility and usability, improving the communication and coordination between IT teams that are involved in managing application changes. Specifically for the Oracle E-Business module, object locking, archiving and migration support have been greatly extended by including many foundation Application Object Library (AOL) objects, AK Regions and WFT (Workflow) objects. The PeopleSoft module is integrated with PeopleTools and leverages native functionality for the highest level of efficiency. The Stat ACM PeopleSoft module is the only application change management solution certified on PeopleSoft AppConnect Version 8.4, PeopleSoft 8.0 and PeopleSoft 7.5, to encompass both PeopleSoft objects and flat files.
About Stat ACM
Quest Stat ACM provides deep insight into Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft environments and is complementary to Quest Software's monitoring and management solution, Foglight(R). It helps organizations apply changes and patches in an efficient manner by automating several processes that were previously manual, saving time and minimizing the risk of costly downtime. Stat ACM protects the integrity of application code and enforces methodical application change by requiring all workflow to pass through a secure login process, and by locking objects during development to prevent concurrent development conflicts. The product also automates version control by capturing all object changes in self-contained archive sets, then safely archiving those changes in a separate repository. This accelerates development and, when "rollback" is necessary, saves significant time. Additionally, Stat ACM provides comprehensive auditing and management reports that organizations require in order to comply with regulatory mandates such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Pricing and Availability
Stat ACM v5.1 is available now. Stat ACM for PeopleSoft or Oracle E-Business pricing starts at $5,000 per developer in addition to the base Stat ACM Server pricing. Implementation and training packages are also available.
