Cybermation Launches Business Service Management Offering; New service leverages Proxima Technology's award winning solution to provide real-time reporting of critical business processes

Business Wire, Dec 1, 2004

LAS VEGAS -- Cybermation, a leading developer of enterprise job scheduling and software change management solutions, today announced at the 23rd annual Gartner Data Center Conference, the launch of its Cybermation Service Manager offering. This real-time visualization reporting solution is based on Proxima Technology's award winning Centauri Business Service Manager(TM). It measures and manages key performance metrics for Cybermation's job scheduling and software change management solutions. Business and IT managers are now better positioned to track IT processes and metrics including service level agreements, ITIL and Six Sigma via a Web-based dashboard or scorecard.

"Cybermation's new Service Manager offering will give us an immediate real-time visual representation of application processes, allowing us to gauge how well they are performing," notes Rick Schwalm, IMS Health's VP Operations Services, Americas. "Used in conjunction with Cybermation's ESP job scheduling solution, it will reduce manual reporting and significantly improve our ability to make quick decisions regarding any IT process that has failed or been breached."

The Cybermation Service Manager offering is a valuable add-on to Cybermation's event-driven job scheduling and software change management solutions, both of which provide real-time automation and a single point of control across platforms, operating systems and applications. Cybermation's Service Manager offering utilizes a graphical user interface to display the real-time status of IT processes and metrics. This enables IT managers and executives to prioritize workloads and proactively respond to business issues to ensure service levels are met.

"Job scheduling process performance is a key contributor to understanding overall business service status. More importantly, the solution enables IT and business managers to understand the effects of IT process performance on the business operation. Our partnership with Cybermation extends the reach of Centauri and we look forward to a successful alliance." said Steve Jones, CEO of Proxima Technology.

"Delivering a tool that provides this type of real-time service management enriches our customer solutions," notes Ray Nissan, CEO of Cybermation. By providing improved communication based on a business-level view of IT processes, the Cybermation Service Manager helps align IT with business objectives."
