Imprivata Appoints Wayne Parslow to Vice President of European Operations; Industry Veteran to Build Imprivata's EMEA Presence

LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Imprivata, Inc., the enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) appliance company, today announced the appointment of Wayne Parslow to vice president of European operations. Parslow, formerly vice president of business development for OATSystems in Waltham, Mass., reports to vice president of worldwide sales and services Steve Lesser and will lead Imprivata's European expansion.
"As Imprivata continues to gain momentum in the North American ESSO market, we're spear-heading an aggressive initiative to expand and strengthen our presence in Europe," said Patrick Morley, Imprivata president and CEO. "Wayne's enthusiasm, creativity, and extensive experience in global business development will be instrumental in establishing Imprivata as a key player in the global marketplace."
Mr. Parslow boasts more than 20 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing and business development, most recently leading OATSystems' business development strategy. Prior to this, Mr. Parslow served as vice president of Global Alliances for Novell. At Novell, he played a crucial role in implementing the partner strategies around the company's resurgence as a major player in the open source marketplace. Before joining Novell, Mr. Parslow served as vice president of Global Business Development for SilverStream and was instrumental in their 2002 acquisition by Novell. At SilverStream, Mr. Parslow led the effort to build a European channel operation. He has also held manager and director positions at Watermark, BancTec, and ImageSolve International. Mr. Parslow holds a B.S. in Applied Science from Kingston University in London, England.
