Business Wire, Dec 13, 2004
ATLANTA -- JBoss(R), Inc., the Professional Open Source company, today announced the appointment of Shaun Connolly to vice president of product management. Drawing on his 12 years of experience leading product management, development and integration teams, Connolly will spearhead product strategy and management for the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS), the company's newly introduced open source architecture for building business applications.
"As JBoss builds out JEMS and executes on its vision for the future of software, Shaun's deep experience in product management and middleware will be critical to shaping the JBoss line of products," said Marc Fleury, chairman and CEO of JBoss, Inc. "His leadership and ambition will integrate well with our executive team, as we continue to establish Professional Open Source as the gold standard for technical innovation."
Most recently, Connolly was vice president of product integration at Princeton Softech, where he led the development of integrated database archiving solutions for the top ERP/CRM applications. Previously, Connolly oversaw product management at Bluestone Software and later, following its acquisition, at HP Middleware. In this position he focused on creating a modular, service-centric enterprise middleware platform. Prior to Bluestone, Connolly served as vice president of product development at Primavera Systems, a leading project management software provider. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and has been a panelist, speaker and contributing writer on topics such as aligning IT operations with business goals and getting the most from IT investments.
"JBoss' innovation and vision for a complete Open Source Architecture that puts end-users back in control of their line of business infrastructure is just the beginning," said Connolly. "I look forward to working with this talented team to make Professional Open Source the de-facto, safe choice for the enterprise. JBoss is proving that its model gives customers the best of both the open source and commercial worlds--innovative products at zero-cost software licenses and enterprise-grade professional support services."
