Composite Software Customer Named to Prestigious InfoWorld 100 List; Life Time Fitness Recognized for Single View of the Customer Application Leveraging EII
Business Wire, Dec 13, 2004
SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Composite Software, the leading provider of Enterprise Information Integration (EII) solutions, today announced that one of its customers, Life Time Fitness (NYSE:LTM), a national operator of large and distinctive health and fitness centers, has won a coveted spot on the prestigious InfoWorld 100 list. Life Time Fitness, which operates 39 sports, professional fitness, family recreation and resort/spa centers in eight states, was named for its use of the Composite Information Server to successfully manage the company's data integration needs.
Each year, InfoWorld cites companies that have creatively and effectively deployed technology solutions that result in quantifiable ROI and measurable, real business benefits. Other winners this year include UPS, Mary Kay, Nationwide Insurance, BP, FedEx Kinko's, IBM, ETrade, Wells Fargo Bank and GlaxoSmithKline.
Using Composite's industry-leading EII technology, Life Time Fitness integrates multiple data sources with its Member Management System (MMS), a custom application that is the core component of the company's IT infrastructure and customer system of record. The application manages millions of records that are associated with the company's membership information and is continually used by employees nationwide. Integrating the Composite Information Server with Life Time Fitness' MMS enabled faster and easier data validation, real-time access to data in Siebel CRM applications, and most importantly, the ability to maintain a "global" view of each customer from data stored in disparate databases, which is critical for customer relationship management. Use of the Composite Information Server has enhanced the company's customer service capabilities and is an important business enabler as the company continues its planned national expansion efforts.
"We are very pleased that Life Time Fitness is being recognized by InfoWorld as a top IT innovator," said Jim Green, CEO of Composite Software, Inc. "As companies expand and develop ever-growing stores of data across different databases and applications, data integration becomes a treasure hunt -- it's critical to find, utilize and leverage information in a way that enables and sustains business growth and profitability. Life Time Fitness understands this, and as a result, is able to reap substantial benefits from EII."
"We evaluated other EII solutions, and none of them met our stringent requirements," said Gary Lien, IT enterprise architect for Life Time Fitness. "Composite Software was uniquely able to reduce IT support needs, enable access to ERP and CRM applications and allow the introduction of new data sources such as credit card POS. Additionally, Composite enables specialized data archiving, facilitates security and privacy requirements, supports multiple data formats and delivers efficient real time processing. As a customer-driven organization, effective data management is critical and the Composite Information Server provides us with multiple efficiencies and advantages."
Each year, InfoWorld chooses 100 winning IT organizations within companies, out of thousands of submitted applications. The publication selects those exhibiting the ability to use imaginative and innovative technology implementations that go beyond off-the-shelf solutions and meet specific, well-defined business goals.
