Business Wire, Dec 14, 2004

DURHAM, N.C. -- Motricity, the premier provider of mobile content and solutions, today announced the top ten bestselling fiction and nonfiction eBooks for the month of November from its eReader.com division (formerly Palm Digital Media), the world's largest and most popular electronic bookstore. Motricity also announced that eReader.com was featured in The New York Times Book Review on Sunday December 5, 2004 in an article highlighting the double-digit growth of the eBook market. That article can be found online at http://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/05/books/review/05GLAZERL.html?oref= login&pagewanted=print&position. "The New York Times article is a tremendous validation not only for eReader.com, but also for eBooks in general," said Ryan Wuerch, Motricity's CEO and chairman. "We are thrilled to play such a prominent role in the fast growing eBook market and look forward to continuing to educate consumers on this exciting medium and delivering the bestselling eBooks that readers have come to expect from eReader.com."

In the spirit of giving, eReader.com is offering new and old customers alike a special free eBook each day through December 25. Among the titles offered in this "Deck Your Device" promotion are "The 9/11 Commission Report" which is on the November nonfiction bestseller list, select Star Trek titles from Simon & Schuster, and popular classics including "The Time Machine", Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales, "A Christmas Carol" and "Little Women".

Capturing the top two fiction bestseller slots is an author who is well known for his wit. While Scott Adams' day job is bringing the Dilbert cartoon to life for millions of readers, he is also a popular eBook author. His self-published title, "God's Debris" grabbed the top eBook spot for the month of November, while his most recent piece of work, "The Religion War" is the second highest-selling eBook for November. James Patterson's "London Bridges", the next episode in the thrilling Alex Cross series, was bundled with "Big Bad Wolf" so eReader customers received an extra bargain last month. Another suspenseful bestseller was the new release, "Night Fall," by Nelson DeMille. Dan Brown continues to entertain eBook readers with his trio of suspense thrillers that remain firmly entrenched on all bestseller lists--digital and analog.
