SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Network Appliance, Inc. ISO 14001 is a management system that helps companies develop and execute a policy that ultimately reduces harmful effects on the environment. NetApp has also maintained ISO 9001 certification since May 1997.
"Superior environmental practices have always been a top priority for Network Appliance, and ISO standards represent the highest quality in environmental management practice," said Dan Warmenhoven, CEO for Network Appliance. "We are committed to compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and other requirements to meet customer and community needs and expectations and are proud of our certification to ISO 14001."
By achieving this certification, NetApp is making commitments to continually improve internal environmental objectives, prevent pollution, and conserve natural resources for future generations and comply with regulatory legislation.
Network Appliance also won the Outstanding Environmental Achievement award from the city of Sunnyvale, California, for its on-site environmentally friendly cogeneration system.
