Gordon & Glickson Spreads ''Technology Cheer'' This Holiday Season; Donates PCs to Computers for Schools

Business Wire, Dec 21, 2004

CHICAGO -- Information technology law firm, Gordon & Glickson LLC, is spreading cheer this season by donating its computer systems to the local chapter of Computers for Schools (CFS). Nearly 75 Compaq hard drives, 50 monitors, and 50 keyboards will make its way to CFS today - just in time for the Holidays.

Mark L. Gordon, managing partner of Gordon & Glickson commented, "In honor of the start of our firm's 25-year commitment to the information technology marketplace, we thought there would be no better way than to show our continued support this holiday season than with the donation of these systems to such a worthy cause."

Chicago's Computers for Schools program, founded in 1997, takes donated 233 MHz and higher computers, from both individuals and corporations, and refurbishes them for schools, non-profits and need-based homes. Nearly 80 percent of all donations received are refurbished and reused; however, unsalvageable equipment is recycled responsibly.

"Our organization recognizes that our children and our school districts need better access to technology," stated Willie Cade, president of Computers for Schools. "Once they have access and start using a computer, it becomes an important part of their lives. Gordon & Glickson's donation - and the donations of others - gets us one step closer to creating the power users of tomorrow."
