JBI Localization, Inc. Completes Multi-Language Localization of Microsoft Marketing Project

LOS ANGELES -- JBI Localization, Inc., a premier provider of language, audio and video services to entertainment, technology and general business enterprises, has completed a multiple-language audio-only localization of on-line Flash demos to support the international marketing of computers pre-installed with the Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system, it was announced today by JBI President Eliane Barth.

JBI Localization was assigned the project by translations.com, an international multi-language solutions provider based in New York City.

The languages involved were French, German, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Turkish, Czech, Polish, and Russian, with most narrated in one but some in two voices, Barth said.

"The audio files were edited separately by language and could therefore be inserted into the presentation individually and precisely," she said. "The end product was a set of audio files that were easily implemented by our client and the entire production was completed in less than a week."

According to Mike McPherson, director of client services at translations.com, JBI has an exceptionally strong pool of expert native language translators and speakers and a demonstrated ability to deliver quality localization projects under rigid time constraints.
