Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise Board Announces New Pearl River Resort President and CEO

CHOCTAW, Miss. -- Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise and Tribal Chief Phillip Martin announced today that the Enterprise Board has reached an employment agreement with Richard L. "Chuck" Miller as the new President and CEO of the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw.
After a national search in which a number of highly qualified candidates were interviewed, the Enterprise Board selected Chuck Miller to begin duties as the President and CEO of Pearl River Resort effective January 1, 2005.
Chief Martin noted that the Enterprise Board placed a very high priority on taking hospitality and guest service to the next level at the Resort, and Mr. Miller's gaming management experience and performance made him the clear choice for the job.
"It is exciting for us to find a gaming executive with the rare set of qualifications that include over 30 years of experience in almost all facets of gaming, prior management experience in Indian and non-Indian gaming, and a proven track record of performance in virtually every gaming management position he has held," Martin said. "He is a consummate professional who truly believes in Resort employees, their training and the guest experience. We plan to make the Pearl River Resort the choice for our guests."
Mr. Miller comes to the Pearl River Resort from Caesars Entertainment, where he was Vice President of Development. His prior gaming management positions include Vice President of Marketing for the Peppermill Hotel in Reno, Nev.; Regional Vice President of Marketing for Grand Casino Resorts, Inc.; Executive Vice-President and General Manager of Grand Casino Coushatta in Kinder, La.; President of Grand Casino Tunica Resort and Casino and President of Bally's Tunica and Sheraton Tunica under Park Place Entertainment.
The Pearl River Resort is a major destination resort located in Choctaw, and consists of the Silver Star Hotel and Casino, the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino, the award-winning and nationally ranked Dancing Rabbit Golf Course, the Geyser Falls Water Park, thirteen restaurants, and a variety of retail shopping venues.
