Stopol, Inc. to Hold First Online Auction Dec. 8-9; Event to Feature Millions of Dollars in New and Used Equipment, Accessories

Business Wire, Dec 6, 2004

SOLON, Ohio -- The first online auction hosted by Stopol, Inc., a leader in arranging the acquisition and sale of production equipment and machinery, businesses, divisions, product lines, and manufacturing licenses in the plastics industry, will feature millions of dollars in new and used plastics processing equipment and accessories.

Slated for December 8-9, the OEMs Year-End Inventory Reduction Sale is the first event to be held on the Solon-based company's new www.stopolauctions.com Web site. Beginning at 5 a.m. (EST) December 8, registered members of www.stopolauctions.com can log on to the site and begin bidding on plastics machinery, supplies, resin, auxiliary equipment and components from the industry's most recognized names.

"Within 24 hours of notifying the original equipment manufacturers of this event, I received a call from an officer of one unnamed, yet very prominent OEM inquiring into whether there was a limit on the number of items his company could sell on the site," said Stopol CEO Neil Kruschke Jr. "Upon learning that there was no limit, the OEM submitted more than 150 items. When you consider that some pieces of manufacturing equipment carry individual price tags in excess of $1 million, this substantial submission demonstrates the considerable faith the plastics industry has in Stopol and the potential impact of this new Web site."

On November 23, Stopol launched www.stopolauctions.com, an interactive, online marketplace that allows members to buy and sell new and used plastics equipment and other assets. The only auction Web site dedicated exclusively to the plastics industry, www.stopolauctions.com offers industry executives and plant managers the opportunity to experience the competitive atmosphere and dynamics of an auction without leaving their office, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Widely recognized as a plastics industry leader, innovator and trusted resource, Stopol chose the OEMs Inventory Reduction Sale as www.stopolauctions.com's inaugural event because of its appeal to both buyers and sellers.

"Sellers are excited because they easily can market their surplus assets to a global audience of qualified buyers. Plus, they will clear unused inventory from their books while generating additional revenue streams for their company," Kruschke said. "Buyers are happy because they can acquire the equipment needed to add another production line, bolster capacity or fill a special order -- all in a relatively short timeframe and at a price that is right for them."

Buyers may pay for their purchases through a company check, money order, certified check, wire transfer or credit card.

Registration to www.stopolauctions.com is free, and nominal fees are charged only for equipment that is bought or sold on the site.
