VERITAS Software Corporation Chief Executive Officer to Present at The Summit on Leading Execution, New York City

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- VERITAS Software Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTS) today announced that Gary Bloom, chief executive officer for VERITAS Software, is scheduled to present at The Summit on Leading Execution in New York City today at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time. The Summit on Leading Execution brings more than 400 managers and leaders together to discuss best practice solutions and innovative, practical ideas to drive strategy, people and operations towards better business execution.
Bloom will join author and advisor to CEOs Ram Charan and Heidrick and Struggles managing partner for human resources Hal Johnson, in a discussion about leading "Strategy, Succession and Change," led by Pattie Sellers, editor at large of FORTUNE magazine. The discussion will focus on best practice strategy planning, key cultural issues that leaders need to understand before trying to implement strategy changes and how senior managers can help CEOs in effecting change.
