DIATEM and Extreme Networks Team to Deliver Metro Ethernet Service Provisioning and Management Capabilities

OTTAWA -- DIATEM Networks Inc., the leader in Ethernet OSS systems, today announced that it is teaming with Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:EXTR), a leader in open, converged networks to deliver comprehensive Metro Ethernet service provisioning and management capabilities throughout the globe, enabling Metro service providers to aggressively pursue differentiated services strategies, and to drive down Ethernet service delivery costs.

DIATEM's Ethernet ServiceController software system enables service providers to define, design, activate and monitor a comprehensive suite of Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) compliant services across multi-vendor, mixed technology networks. Under the terms of the partnership, DIATEM's ServiceController will support the full range of Extreme Networks' products and features and will be marketed to customers as a value-added element to Extreme Networks' network technology and existing management software solutions. ServiceController is available for shipment to Extreme customers immediately.
