Maria Bello, David Copperfield, Kenneth Cole, Al Leiter, Damon Dash, & Other Stars Team Up with 1-800-FLOWERS.COM to Design One-of-a-Kind Teddy Bears for Online Auction to Benefit SAVE THE CHILDREN

Business Wire, Dec 7, 2004

WESTBURY, N.Y. -- 1-800-FLOWERS.COM(R), INC. (NASDAQ:FLWS)

--Weekly Auctions of Celebrity-Styled Teddy Bears to Kick-Off December 8 & Continue through January 2005

--One-hundred percent (100%) of Winning Bids Will be Donated to Save the Children(R).

Top names from the worlds of music, film, fashion and sports have taken on a new role this holiday season - that of "teddy bear stylist" - to help 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. (NASDAQ:FLWS) raise funds for Save the Children. Each of the participating stars created and autographed designs that were used to exquisitely attire the one-of-a-kind 1-800-FLOWERS Lotsa Love(TM) bears. The celeb-styled bears will be auctioned online beginning December 8 to raise funds for this leading children's charity.

1-800-FLOWERS and Save the Children lined up a purposefully diverse list of 10 notables for this fashionable fundraising effort. They include Golden Globe-nominee Maria Bello, illusionist David Copperfield, legendary designer Kenneth Cole, Emmy-winning newscaster Cokie Roberts, major league baseball pitcher Al Leiter, urban music and style entrepreneur Damon Dash, Exorcist star Linda Blair, and even two of pro wrestling's hottest names, WWE superstars John Cena and Rey Mysterio.

Pictures of the celebrity-designed bears and the personalized sketches used to create these dynamic fashions can now be viewed at www.1800FLOWERS.com/celebrityteddybear. Charity-conscious bear-lovers can then participate in the weekly auctions at www.Ebay.com/1800flowers beginning December 8, 2004. One-hundred percent (100%) of the winning bids will be donated to Save the Children. Bear-lovers can also contribute to Save the Children by making a purchase from the Lotsa Love plush toy collection at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM - a percentage of all sales from this collection made through December 31, 2004 will be donated to Save the Children.

The designs turned in by the celebrities took inspiration from around the globe. Save the Children's national spokeswoman Maria Bello's tribal bear was inspired by her visits to and charity work in Africa, while Kenneth Cole's cutting-edge couture offering features a custom classic black suit with accompanying shoes and watch from his Reaction collection. David Copperfield's bear wears a suit patterned after his own dramatic stage wear, while WWE superstar Rey Mysterio's offering is topped off with a miniature recreation of his flame-covered wrestling mask.

Each winning bidder will receive the collectible Gund(R)-crafted bear created by the celebrities and their autographed sketches/designs. Following is the bidding schedule for the December portion of the charity-auction:

--December 8 - 14: WWE Superstars John Cena and Rey Mysterio

--December 14 - 20: Actress Maria Bello

--December 20 - 22: Journalist Cokie Roberts & Music Impresario Damon Dash

"We are proud of our collaborative efforts with Save the Children," said Jim McCann, CEO of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM. "This important and worthwhile charity organization helps so many and it is our honor and privilege to work alongside and assist them, especially on such an innovative and exciting project.
