MARC Global Positioned in WMS Visionary Quadrant by Global IT Research Firm
Business Wire, Dec 8, 2004
ATLANTA -- MARC Global, the leading provider of continuously adaptable supply chain execution solutions, today announced it was positioned in the Visionary quadrant in Gartner, Inc.'s 2004 Global Warehouse Management System (WMS) Magic Quadrant. In the report by Gartner, the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology (IT) industry, MARC Global was placed in the Visionary quadrant based on its ability to execute and its completeness of vision. Gartner defines the Visionary quadrant as "Visionaries have a clear vision of market direction and are focused on preparing for that, but they can still improve in terms of optimizing service delivery."
According to the report, "The ability to execute score includes ratings on the strength of corporate management; the vendor's offering in terms of functionality, service and support; the vendor's partnerships; and the vendor's overall stability and viability. The functionality must be live and referenceable in complex environments."
"MARC Global has remained focused on developing and implementing the most adaptable, robust warehouse management systems for several of the world's leading companies," said Oliver Cooper, CEO, MARC Global. "We have continued to enhance our offering by providing innovative solutions such as a comprehensive MARC RFID Customer Compliance Kit(TM), MARC RFID Enterprise Edition(TM), and MARC 3D(TM) - a multi-dimensional analysis and control panel for more efficient and effective real-time decision making."
Gartner states, "The completeness of vision score is based on an offering's value proposition, its product and technology vision, its growth plans and its fit into our supply chain management (SCM) vision. We rate not only an offering's likely development in functionality, service and support, but also how the vendor plans to keep the offering viable in a challenging marketplace."
"MARC Global uniquely offers a continuously adaptable warehouse management solution," said Ron Riggins, CTO, MARC Global. "Our vision has always been to provide best-of-class products that are highly configurable to accommodate numerous business rules and processes. This translates into lower total cost of ownership, unsurpassed breadth and depth, scalability and unmatched adaptability."
