Bradmark Teams With SAP; Will Provide Database Management Solutions for SAP Implementations
Business Wire, Dec 9, 2004
HOUSTON -- Bradmark Technologies Inc. an established provider of enterprise monitoring and database administration tools, today announced that it has joined forces with SAP to provide database management solutions.
As part of the SAP Direct initiative, Bradmark and SAP will provide a packaged service for reorganizing SAP databases running on Oracle 8.1.7 and above with almost no downtime for end-users. Bradmark's NORAD DBControl Online tool will be the centerpiece to the managed service. DBControl Online is the only tool that has achieved successful integration assessment from SAP, utilizing technology approved by the database vendor.
In order to be considered for the SAP Direct Packaged Service initiative, Bradmark's DBControl Online product had to pass rigorous integration assessment and testing at SAP's ICC-Lab in Waldorf. According to the Lab, "SAP is satisfied that NORAD DBControl Online met the test requirements and poses no risk to SAP customers."
"We have spent 10 years developing our technology for enterprise databases," commented John Mitchell, vice president, sales and marketing for Bradmark, "Our relationship with SAP is part of our strategy to focus on two major partnerships. With Bradmark's unique technology and SAP's reach we will capture the emerging marketplace for online database reorganization."
"SAP Packaged Services are keen to develop the highest possible value for our customers through both SAP software, and software that has successfully completed SAP's Integration Assessment process," stated Simon Keay, business development manager of SAP UK's packaged services. "Bradmark's recent completion continues this ideal."
The packaged service will be provided by SAP through Packaged Services, using Bradmark technology. This fixed-price service will initially be offered in the UK and will be extended to other geographies in the near future.
DBControl Online provides uninterrupted data availability while performing data reorganization and partition management of SAP Oracle databases, maximizing availability, performance and reliability of the SAP R/3 environment. Reorganizations are performed on these databases to reclaim fragmented or wasted space and increase the speed of data access, while improving availability by optimizing database layout.
