RA'ANANA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2004
Emblaze Systems, part of the Emblaze Group (LSE: BLZ) and a leading provider of mobile media solutions for wireless networks, will be demonstrating at 3GSM Cannes, at the following stands:
Nortel Networks Nortel User Group, Hotel Sofitel Royal Casino - February 20-21 Nortel stand at 3GSM - Hall 1, A 8 Nortel executive demo room, Majestic Hotel
-- A demonstration of its H.264 video technology using Nokia
Symbian Series 60 handsets embedded with EMplayer(TM) -
Emblaze's rich media player (Series 60 client). H.264 video
codec is a top quality video running over low bit rate
networks, achieving the same picture quality at half the bit
rate.
-- 3GPP/MPEG4 media content streaming and download services over
Nortel's GPRS and UMTS networks. News, sports, weather, music
and movie trailer video content optimized for mobile usage,
will be demonstrated on a variety of GPRS devices (AlphaCell
M5, Nokia 3650 and Nokia 6600 embedded with the EMplayer(TM))
and UMTS devices (Samsung Z-100, Motorola A835 and Nokia 7600
embedded with 3GPP players).
-- Full 3GPP streaming and download interoperability between
devices, players and the Emblaze 3GPP compliant server
platform (EMplatform(TM)).
-- Emblaze's latest development - a bandwidth adaptation network
monitoring system called Viscosity. This demo will simulate
network fluctuation and display the bandwidth adaptation
mechanism.
Ericsson Hall 1, A 15
-- Ericsson will utilize its MMS center, complete with Emblaze
EMcoder(TM) to demonstrate live video transcoding.
-- Video messages/clips recorded via devices, web cams or
downloaded from the Internet will be sent live, by MMS, to MMS
handsets (SonyEricsson P900, T610, T68 and others). The videos
will be automatically transcoded to the industry standard 3GPP
format and compressed for optimal size. For MMS phones that do
not support video playback, the clips will be transcoded to
MMS animations with audio playback. This important feature,
critical for the success of P2P messaging and the consumption
of video on MMS phones, is part of the next generation of
Ericsson's MMS center. Ericsson is currently the world leader
in MMS deployments.
Unisys Hall 1, B 13
-- A demonstration of its video streaming and download
capabilities on AlphaCell M5, SonyEricsson P800 and Nokia 3650
with Unisys, a world leader in voicemail and unified messaging
systems. Unisys is looking to expand to next generation
messaging systems.
AlphaCell Hall 4, K2
-- In conjunction with AlphaCell, Emblaze Systems will
demonstrate its advanced back-end system - EMplatform(TM) -
for the management and delivery of a wide range of mobile
media sports, music and games services on AlphaCell's M5
customizable handset aimed principally at the entertainment
market.
All demonstrations will utilize the latest and most advanced version of the EMplatform(TM), which currently supports multiple delivery technologies and formats, such as MPEG-4, 3GPP, Windows Media technology v. 9.0, H.264, BREW, Java J2ME, and Real Media(TM)."
