CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2004

Stunning CG Graphics, Alternate Score and Soundtrack Featured in

"GALERIANS: RION" Available on DVD April 6th

Image Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:DISK), a leading licensee and distributor of DVD programming in North America, will proudly present the next step in the evolution of Japanese anime with the April 6th release of "GALERIANS: RION."

Pushing anime into the third dimension, this fully 3-D computer-generated film is based on the hit Playstation game, "GALERIANS." The DVD boasts an unprecedented alternate score and soundtrack featuring gold- and platinum-selling industrial rock artists such as Slipknot, Fear Factory, The Ataris, Sevendust and more. The soundtrack CD will also be available on April 6th from Image.

In "GALERIANS: RION," Earth's population has been enslaved by Dorothy, a genocidal computer. Only a viral program developed by her creator can emancipate the human race, and only one of Dorothy's own super-powered Galerians holds the key to unlocking the code and destroying the human who carries it. Rion is dispatched to find his childhood friend, Lilia, daughter of Dorothy's creator. As he uncovers the truth about himself and his origins, he is forced to battle not only the Galerians -- but himself!

"`GALERIANS: RION' is a landmark leap forward in anime," says Chip Carter, retained by Image to brand manage the program. "The depth of the story, the state-of-the-art animation and the unique soundtrack combine to create an anime experience no fan of the genre will want to be without."

The DVD is only half the story. Image Music Group worked closely with Treadstone Records to find bands and songs that enhanced the film. A completely new score was written and 14 blistering tracks add to the intense emotional mood of the film.

The unreleased remix of Fear Factory's song "Archetype" spawned a music video featuring cutting-edge anime footage from the film. The music video will be shown on national television outlets and on the website, www.galeriansrion.com. It will also be available as a bonus feature on Fear Factory's fall 2004 CD release.

"By adding the edgy soundtrack and score to an incredible anime feature, we've merged the freshest of Japanese anime with Western music and created a truly international work," Treadstone president Jonathan Platt said. "It raises the bar on anime and we're excited to be at the forefront of this fusion."

The DVD also features both Japanese and English language Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, a teaser trailer for the film and subtitling in English, Spanish, German and French. The DVD also boasts collectible trading cards with images of characters from the film.
