Lynda J. Nahra Appointed President/CEO of Community West Bancshares

GOLETA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 2004

Lynda J. Nahra, President/CEO of Goleta National Bank (GNB), has also been appointed President/CEO of Community West Bancshares (CWBC)(Nasdaq:CWBC) following the death of Michael Alexander, former President/CEO of CWBC and Chairman of both Boards. Ms. Nahra has headed GNB, the sole subsidiary of CWBC, for the past four years.

"With her strong, 30 year background in the financial industry, which includes experience in commercial, mortgage and SBA lending as well as business banking, and her active community involvement, Ms. Nahra is well qualified to head both entities," said acting CWBC Chairman William R. Peeples.

Ms. Nahra also serves as a director on both Boards as well as several committees. Her community involvement includes the Women's Economic Ventures, Goleta Montessori Center School, Montecito Rotary and the Santa Barbara United Way. Ms. Nahra was recently appointed a director of the Girl Scouts of Tres Condados. Ms. Nahra attended California Western University and the Pacific Banking School.

Robert H. Bartlein will assume the position of acting Chairman of GNB.
