LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2004
Trump's First California Development Will Include
Luxury Golf and Multimillion-Dollar Homes
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Los Angeles has announced an agreement with international world-class developer Donald Trump to market homes in his new luxury development, The Estates at Trump National Golf Club, which is in Rancho Palos Verdes.
The 300-acre oceanfront development will feature 36 home sites in its first phase, a luxurious clubhouse and a championship golf course. In addition, there will be walking trails to the beach, a paved bikeway and other amenities consistent with an upscale resort living experience.
"The Estates at Trump National Golf Club will be the finest development on the California coast," said Donald Trump. "With their spectacular ocean views and the best golf course in California, where all 18 holes front on the ocean, these homes are sure to attract the most discerning buyers who are seeking both luxury and privacy. Palos Verdes is beautiful and tranquil, and it's just minutes from downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood studios."
Robert Foster, senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Los Angeles, formed the team to secure the deal. The team includes Joyce Rey, executive director of Coldwell Banker Previews International, as well as Gary Fleishman, manager of Coldwell Banker Palos Verdes, and senior sales associates Gayle Probst and Allen Scafati.
The Homes
Coldwell Banker will market the first phase of homes in the 85-acre residential development, which will feature 36 home sites, including five lots with estates already designed. Construction will commence in March. A custom-designed home will be built specifically for each site, ensuring that no two homes look alike.
Robert L. Earl, AIA, Architect and Associates Inc., located in Los Angeles, will be the architect for the initial five homes. Plans call for the five- and six-bedroom homes to feature amenities such as media rooms, wine cellars, billiard rooms, multiple master suites, spa bathrooms and gourmet kitchens.
The Golf Club
The 215-acre Trump National Golf Club - Los Angeles, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Pete Dye, is scheduled to open in June 2004. Trump is completely rebuilding the existing course to take full advantage of its superb oceanfront setting and natural beauty as the only course in the U.S. featuring ocean views from every hole.
The Clubhouse
The 45,000-square-foot clubhouse is undergoing extensive renovation and is expected to be complete in May. Already featuring two of the highest Zagat-rated restaurants in Los Angeles, a 350-seat grand ballroom for banquets, meetings and social events; a pro shop; elegant locker rooms and an executive board room for conferences, Trump will add a 7,000-square-foot terrace directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean, a luxurious spa and one additional restaurant to rival the top gourmet dining experience in all of Los Angeles.
"We are very enthusiastic about working with Donald Trump to market this prestigious and exclusive project," said Scott Gibson, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greater Los Angeles. "Donald Trump has an outstanding reputation for world-class projects, and The Estates at Trump National Golf Club will be among the finest in California. His expertise, vision and top-notch team will ensure that this project embodies the quintessential Southern California lifestyle, which appeals to affluent people around the globe."
"I am extremely pleased to be joining forces with Southern California's real estate leader, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage," Trump said. "Our organizational cultures are a great fit as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage prides itself on exceptional client service, careful attention to detail and the highest standards of excellence. Their national and international marketing strength will be of tremendous benefit to this project."
