SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2004

Logitech (Nasdaq:LOGI)(Switzerland:LOGN) today announced it has raised $151,983 in support of the American Library Association's (ALA) 21st Century Literacy initiatives. The presentation of a check to ALA President Carla Hayden, Ph.D., at the ALA's Midwinter Meeting marked the end of a three-month integrated in-store, online and on-the-road campaign.

The Logitech(R) MouseMobile(TM) -- a "mousified" VW Bug complete with scroll wheel plus the latest and greatest mouse buttons -- served as an icon for the Logitech fundraising effort. The car and its driver were also at the ALA meeting, having just logged 3,900 miles between California and ALA Headquarters in Chicago.

From October through December, Logitech contributed 50 cents from each retail sale of a Logitech(R) cordless mouse. Additionally, consumers were able to make online donations and per-mile sponsorships of the MouseMobile's journey at www.logitech.com. Meanwhile, the MouseMobile delivered approximately 100 Logitech(R) Click!(TM) optical mice to local libraries during its seven-week odyssey through eight metropolitan areas: San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston and Chicago.

"We're extremely pleased with the results of Logitech's campaign," said Hayden. "These funds, plus the gift of optical mice, will be put to good use as we work to ensure everyone in this country has the skills necessary to read and navigate today's information jungle online and in print."

The initial goal of the Logitech program was to raise at least $100,000 for the ALA's 21st Century Literacy initiatives.

"We're pleased with how effective this program has been," said Guerrino De Luca, Logitech's president and chief executive officer. "We were delighted to involve our customers in these important efforts, and we encourage individuals and companies alike to continue supporting the important work of the ALA. Today, more than ever, access to information, whether in printed form or online, is vital in a free society."
