MATAWAN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 2004

iVoice, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IVOC), a leader in speech recognition technology, today announced that Richland County, South Carolina is deploying an Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) to facilitate tax payments for businesses and residents.

The iVoice IVR for Richland County allows clients to dial into the iVoice IVR to make tax payments to their accounts with either a MasterCard or Visa. The category of tax payments the caller can make are as follows: vehicle taxes, real estate taxes, business property or merchant taxes, and personal property taxes. The client will be able to hear their tax balances and be able to make a payment via credit card. The iVoice IVR will facilitate tax receipts for Richland County. The caller will be specifically prompted by the IVR so that navigation will be simple and effortless. This simple state-of-the-art feature delivers numerous client benefits, not the least of which is a significantly improved government image.

The iVoice IVR system enables callers to make open-ended queries while in the middle of a menu prompt, thereby more rapidly directing callers to the correct information. Furthermore, an IVR enabled call center can offer self-service capabilities to callers so they can conduct transactions over the telephone. iVoice's proprietary IVR user interface is able to deliver a powerful solution capable of providing fast, reliable and user-friendly applications to handle transactions such as order fulfillment, obtaining shipping information, obtaining flight information, initiating banking or retail transactions, obtaining product warranty information, confirming reservations, or any other interactive transaction via telephone.
