LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 29, 2004

Avenue Entertainment Group, Inc. (PIXG.OB) announced today that Angels in America, produced by Avenue Pictures, scored five awards at this year's Golden Globes ceremony.

Angels in America, the six-hour Avenue Picture's production of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, directed by Mike Nichols, received Globes in every category for which it was nominated: TV movie or miniseries; actor in a mini or movie (Al Pacino); actress in a mini or movie (Meryl Streep); supporting actor in a series, mini or movie (Jeffrey Wright); and supporting actress in a series, mini or movie (Mary-Louise Parker). Additional nominations went to Patrick Wilson and Ben Shenkman for supporting actor.

These awards come on the heels of Avenue Picture's Chairman and CEO, Cary Brokaw, receiving, with Mike Nichols, the Producers Guild of America's 2004 Visionary Award - given each year to one producer or team in a film or television whose work manifests a unique or uplifting vision or quality.

The most acclaimed film event of the year, Angels in America has been included on enumerable top ten lists and was described in The New York Times as "the most powerful screen adaptation of a major American play since Elia Kazan's 'A Streetcar Named Desire' more than a half-century ago." Further honors for the film have come from the American Film Institute and the Director's Guild of America.

Avenue Pictures also garnered three Golden Globe nominations for the HBO Films' production of Jane Anderson's Normal, which was up for best TV movie or miniseries; best actress (Jessica Lange); and best actor (Tom Wilkinson).

With these successes at the Golden Globes, Avenue Pictures distinguished itself as the most nominated production company of the evening, with a total tally of ten.

Mr. Brokaw said, "This recognition of both Angels in America and Normal is extremely gratifying. We believe it represents an important step in the realization of the company's growth and success."
