Business Wire, July 12, 2004
ATLANTA -- Officials of Noble Investment Group, one of the hospitality industry's leading owner/operators of upscale and premium branded hotels, today announced that it has named Keith E. Alexander general manager of the under-construction, 150-room Hilton Garden Inn & Conference Center in Suffolk, Virginia. Concurrently, Jennifer D'Alessandro was named director of sales for the hotel, which is scheduled to open in February 2005.
"Both Keith and Jennifer have enjoyed great success in the managing and marketing of conference center hotels, experience that will prove invaluable at our hotel and conference center in the rapidly growing Suffolk market," said Mitesh Shah, Noble president and chief operating officer. "With their combined expertise, we believe the hotel quickly will prove itself as a leader in providing an upscale meetings and leisure option throughout the region."
Alexander has had progressive success within the hospitality industry, with solid experience in rooms, food and beverage, sales, and most recently as the general manager of the Radisson Valley Forge in Pennsylvania. The strength of his leadership and his commitment to success were instrumental in building service-oriented teams focused on outstanding customer loyalty results.
D'Alessandro began her career as reservations/revenue manager of the 1,620-room luxury Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas and has held a variety of increasingly important sales-related positions at hotels nationwide. Most recently, she was the East Coast national association sales manager for the Norfolk Convention and Visitors Bureau. Previously, she was global sales manager of national accounts for Dolce International and director of national sales for Wyndham International.
The Hilton Garden Inn and Suffolk Conference Center is located at 100 East Constant Road in Suffolk in southeastern Virginia's Hampton Roads region. Just north of downtown on the Nansemond River, the hotel will include 36 boat slips and the 14,000-square-foot Suffolk conference center and is located next to an 111,000-acre nature preserve. Guest rooms will feature complimentary high speed Internet access, secure remote printing to the business center, oversized desk, ergonomic chair, refrigerator and microwave. Hotel amenities include a swimming pool, whirlpool, and fitness center, and a Pavilion Pantry(TM) convenience mart, which sells snacks and sundry items 24 hours a day.
