SigmaTel Maintains ISO 9001:2000 Certification

ISO 9001:2000 is a standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system, indicating an organization's ability to consistently provide products that meet customer requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction through continual improvement.

National Standards Authority of Ireland, Inc. (NSAI) administered the on-site assessment on behalf of the International Standards Organization (ISO). As required by the ISO registrar, NSAI conducts routine surveillance audits of SigmaTel's quality management system documentation and processes to ensure the company preserves its certification. NSAI cited several best practices implemented at SigmaTel, in addition to upholding the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
