J.P. Morgan Chase Capital X Quarterly Distribution

NEW YORK -- J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE symbol: JPM) and J.P. Morgan Chase Capital X, a Delaware business trust subsidiary of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., today announced that a quarterly distribution on the outstanding 7.00% Capital Securities, Series J (Liquidation amount $25 per Capital Security), of J.P. Morgan Chase Capital X will be paid on August 16, 2004, in the amount of $0.4375 per Capital Security. The distribution will be paid to holders of record at the close of business on August 13, 2004.
