Niku Wins ''Best Vendor'' Award at Project Portfolio Management Summit
Business Wire, July 16, 2004
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Niku Corporation (Nasdaq: NIKU), the leader in IT Management and Governance (IT-MG) solutions, today announced that it received the 'Best Vendor' award at the Gartner Project Portfolio Management Summit North America, held July 11-13 in San Diego, California. The Best Vendor award was based on a vote of the attendees at the leading North American PPM event. Further, Niku was the only vendor voted a finalist for all four awards given out at the PPM summit.
The Gartner Project Portfolio Management Summit focused on the application of Project Portfolio Management for IT Management and Governance and Product Development Planning and Management. The event brought together key decision makers, Gartner analysts and leading and emerging vendors in and around the PPM space. The attendees spent two intensive days exploring best practices and results for the use of PPM. The industry attendees then voted on the Best Vendor award at the conclusion of the event.
"This award is special for three reasons," said Josh Pickus, Niku's CEO. "First, it was based on a vote of knowledgeable practitioners, the most important judges of any vendor's success. Second, it came as a result of two days of head to head, face to face competition with all of our significant competitors. Finally, the concept of Best Vendor includes not just product, but also service, support, vision and thought leadership. As such, we are honored and grateful for this recognition."
Niku will also be participating in the upcoming Gartner Project Portfolio Management Summit Europe, to be held December 1-3 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
