Visible Path Releases Enterprise Relationship Capital Management Solution; Announces Additional $2 Million in Venture Funding

Business Wire,  July 20, 2004

NEW YORK -- Visible Path Corporation, a leading developer of relationship capital management (RCM) software and services, announced the general availability of Visible Path v1.0 today. The company also announced today an additional $2 million in financing from Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers.

The Visible Path platform provides the foundation for enabling enterprise applications such as sales force automation and customer relationship management with RCM functionality. It includes technology and processes to help businesses leverage the mass of undiscovered relationships of employees and partners to solve critical business problems. For example, if a salesperson wants to reach a new prospect using existing sales software, a single click on a person or company name will map the strongest path to the prospect through relationships in common.

Unlike public social networks and websites, Visible Path helps large companies develop their own, private relationship networks of employees and trusted partners. It eliminates the risk employees face when passing information to entities outside the corporations' control, and it is the only RCM platform that allows professionals to access the entire enterprise's trusted relationship network without invading privacy or compromising relationships.

"While small companies often share relationships, larger enterprises find it impossible to encourage employees to contribute private relationships to company-controlled systems," said Antony Brydon, CEO, Visible Path. "This new service offers customers broad visibility across the corporate relationship network while offering every user the privacy and control over relationship information that they demand."

Additional features of the new release include:

--Scalability to support terabytes of relationship data

--Performance and reliability for large enterprise deployments

--Advanced security and session management

The $2 million financing brings Visible Path's funding to $5.7 million. The company will focus the additional funds on product development and integration with a broader set of enterprise services.
