ADC Adds New Primary DC Power Services to Systems Integration Portfolio; DC Power Services Designed for Network Operators

Business Wire, July 21, 2004

MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT; www.adc.com) announced today that it expanded its Systems Integration capabilities with the addition of a new DC power engineering, furnishing and installation offering. The new service capabilities are a direct result of customer requests as North American carriers look for more cost effective ways to maintain their networks.

The new deployment services for DC power were obtained through the purchase of the customer relationships and contracts of Florida-based Stationary Power Systems power services business. A total of 14 employees have transferred to ADC in the transaction, the terms of which are not being disclosed.

The new services are an addition to ADC's services portfolio, which includes engineering, furnishing and installation for common systems and transport equipment used by fixed wire, wireless and cable operators. The addition enables ADC to more fully meet customer needs with an end-to-end array of services for multivendor, multitechnology, multiservice environments.

"With new DC power services, ADC expands the scope of services that carriers can obtain from a single vendor," said Jo Anne Anderson, president of the Systems Integration Business Unit for ADC. "It's a logical extension of our current systems integration services. ADC has significant experience with network infrastructure and systems, and the expertise in primary DC power now means we can offer our customers a more complete infrastructure solution."

ADC anticipates the new DC power services business will produce an additional $3 to $4 million in its remaining fiscal year 2004, which ends on Oct. 31.

ADC provides a broad range of integration services to help operators increase the capacity of their networks, more effectively manage their assets and maximize their network infrastructure. More information on ADC's services capabilities can be found at www.adc.com/integration.> About ADC
