Business Wire, July 29, 2004

TAMPA BAY, Fla. -- The MANHATTAN USB SYNCBOX, a new pocket-sized device manufactured by IC INTRACOM, allows the transfer of all types of data files from one USB device to another, without the aid of an Operating System. This innovative product supports Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP), features LED data indicators, and is powered by just three AAA batteries.

"Given the incredible growth in digital camera sales around the world, we feel the potential of the SYNCBOX is enormous," said Ben Zupan, Director of Global Marketing for IC INTRACOM. "Now digital camera users can quickly transfer their photos and videos to a Flash or portable hard drive and keep right on shooting."

Digital camera sales should reach nearly 53 million units in 2004, according to a study by InfoTrends worldwide. Digital camera sales are expected to reach 82 million units by 2008.

The USB SYNCBOX (Model 172981) can also be used to transfer data directly between MP3 players. According to Jupiter Research, MP3 player sales hit 3.5 million units in 2003 and more than 26 million MP3 players will be in use by 2006.

"The SYNCBOX lets music lovers share files directly between MP3 players," Zupan explained. "Now you can quickly exchange your favorite songs with friends whenever and wherever you are."

The USB SYNCBOX will be available through IC INTRACOM's global network of 40,000 independent computer resellers in September 2004 at a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $49.99 USD.
